ABOUT US

Our 'Iolani School Esports program, with over 300 student members from grades 7 to 12, has seen rapid growth since its inception in the 2018-19 school year. Offering titles such as League of Legends, Rocket League, Super Smash Bros Ultimate, and more, we maintain a 3.0 GPA requirement, implement physical training, and provide coaching sessions to develop student leaders equipped with the necessary skills to support and advance a collegiate varsity program.

Esports participation offers numerous benefits for students, including increased interest in STEM, higher GPAs, and stronger team bonds. It also expands college and career opportunities through scholarships offered by many colleges.

At 'Iolani, we believe in holistic development, integrating physical training exercises like cardio, calisthenics, weight training, and yoga into our program to ensure students receive the necessary exercise. Recognizing the mental strain of gaming, we challenge students to build stamina, endurance, and perseverance for competitive esports matches.
